Programs for Adults

Adult classes all provide a fun, fast-paced and vigorous workout. We teach a complete system of self-defense utilizing proven grappling (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), throwing (Judo) and kickboxing (Muay Thai) techniques.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals

This class is designed for the entry level practitioner with a focus on self-defense techniques. Basic throws, striking, ground grappling and submissions are covered in this class. Programs are one hour long and follow four phases.

  1. Warm up: At the beginning of class we go through a series of stretches and calisthenics designed to condition the body for the application of BJJ techniques.
  2. Techniques: Students are taught and given time to practice the techniques of BJJ.
  3. Application: Students practice applying the techniques they have learned in controlled positional drills against an unwilling opponent that maximizes mat time. This is essential for development in BJJ.
  4. Cool down: Programs are ended with a light cool down and stretch.

Advanced Jiu-Jitsu

After grasping the basic techniques of BJJ and demonstrating fundamental mat awareness, students are graduated to the advanced class. This process takes 4-8 months. In this class student work more positional studies and advanced techniques.

  1. Warm up: At the beginning of class we go through a series of stretches and calisthenics designed to condition the body for the application of BJJ techniques.
  2. Techniques: Students are taught and given time to practice advanced techniques and combinations.
  3. Application: In the advanced class the students are given more freedom to apply the techniques they learn in a free-sparring session. This is crucial to develop a smooth flow from position to position against an unwilling opponent.
  4. Cool down: Programs are ended with a light cool down and stretch.

Muay Thai Kickboxing

In this class you will learn everything you need to know about the fundamentals of kickboxing and Muay Thai.

  1. Warm up: At the beginning of class we go through a series of stretches and calisthenics designed to condition the body for the application of kickboxing techniques.
  2. Techniques: Students are taught and given time to practice techniques and combinations.
  3. Bag and Mitt drills: In this phase of class students will develop strength, timing and speed through the use of heavy bag work, focus mitt drills and Thai pad training.
  4. Sparring: Once a student has demonstrated the proper control and comprehension of the basic techniques, they will be allowed to break away from pad drill early to spar with other students. This is not required and is allowed by instructor permission only.
  5. Cool down: Programs are ended with a light cool down and stretch.

Mixed Martial Arts

This class is reserved for the more advanced students that already have a fundamental understanding of both muay thai and Brazilian jiu jitsu. This class has a focus on combining the students Brazilian jiu jitsu and muay thai skills into one fluid, complete system of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).

Competition Team Training

These Programs are scheduled based on upcoming tournaments. There are Programs for kids and adults. It is recommended that students that are competing in tournaments make these workouts sessions. These Programs have a focus on tournament strategies and techniques, with rigorous sparring session that will help to prepare the student for competition.

Fight Team Training

This is an advanced MMA workout. Six months to one year of training in kickboxing and jiu-jitsu is recommended. Fight team training sessions are scheduled based on upcoming events.
